We got rid of our big desk in our bedroom and he built a smaller one (....all wood and parts for 20 dollars too!) Ideally, I would love to not have a desk at all in our bedroom, but I just like having the boys separated in their own rooms for now. One day, we will move them into the same room, but not just yet as long as we can help it. Anyway, of course, our room is completely destroyed and although the desk is built, its not sanded how he wants it, and I still need to paint it. We have dresser drawers stacked, the contents of the desk all over the bedroom, and craziness all around.
It would be easy to get stressed out right now with the sickness, house chaos, plus the craziness of an almost two year old and a bossy big brother. But none of this is major. I know that none of these issues are real problems. It could be so much worse. I am not going to let the normal behavior of children, a disarrayed house and other stress get to me. I am going to do my best to take care of my sick husband, smile and play with my sweet children and focus on what God has blessed us with. Just thought I would share what I am thinking right now :)
I'll leave you with Harold's recent artwork...my most favorite glitter and some markers... contrary to what it looks like, he didnt get too much of it...whew! He was quite proud of it though, and he sure did sparkle the rest of the day!
I hope Micah feels better soon! Great artwork, Harold! ;)
ReplyDeleteok so when I first saw the pic and was thinking of your man's toe I was like--she needs to get him to the ER!
