Monogram home decor

I am so excited for an upcoming wall decor monogram project that I am doing in our living room. So much so, that I wanted to do a monogram nothing like the one that will be in the living room at the scrapbook store for my design team home decor project.

Ok. Laugh it up.

Mr. T.

Ha. Ha. Ha.

Done?
Here's a close up. I had my camera phone with me, so this is what I got.

Thanks for checkin it out! and getting a good laugh on our account.

I pity the fool who laughs at MR T.

First Design Team Page for 2009

Wow, I have been a scrappin' slacker the past few months. Today, I cleaned up my scrap area and decided to sit down and create.  I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get anything done so I grabbed a coke, my favorite glass and the laptop with some sweet tunes and got to work. I had this page kit I needed to do for DM by tomorrow, so that was nice to work with and get back into the groove!

Here is the page that I came up with:

products used:
bazzill cardstock
pink paislee "sweet cakes" paper
daisy d's birthday rub-ons
thickers alpha stickers (i love when alphabet stickers give you enough letters to do a title... its the little things, ya know?)
ribbons
black ink for distressing

Etsy

This weekend I will be trying to add more to the shop! It has been so busy with Christmas around the corner! Thanks for your patience! And just to share, here is my design team page for the month:
Michelle got me hooked on photo scratching. And I love this new glitter I got. Its Martha Stewart Tinsel glitter. (I put it around the corners of the page). I added all the rhinestones to the snowflakes...and the bell too :)

Design Team Page for September

I got my kit for the next month this week and decided to go ahead and tackle it now.

To be honest, I had a hard time with it this month. Its hard to do girly pages a lot because, lets face it. There's only so many self pages I can do and I just don't have a lot of "girls" in my life :) So I thought it would be fun to bust out the prom pictures! So I went old school. No digital pictures.

I added a couple of digital frames to the pictures before they were printed out. Everything on the page minus the rhinestones and the plastic letters and ribbons were in the kit. The rhinestones, letters and ribbons are all at Devine Memories for purchase as well as the papers, chipboard elements felt flowers and glitter tulle. The journaling is on a transparency and on the pictures and the crown there is a lot of sparkle.

Two new pages

I worked all day yesterday and this morning to get my cleaning and laundry done so that I could focus a bit on scrapbooking. I have been in a rut lately and I was trying to get out of it. I got the boys down for their naps and set up a little spot in my bedroom and got to work!

I had to do my about me page for devine memories, so I started off with this page:

Then I did my about me page. I guess I liked some of the stuff I added to that page because I carried some of those elements onto the next:

It turned out to be a fun page to do, with all the pink and rhinestones! I am so glad I got to play a little bit this afternoon! Now its time to go cook dinner! Pin It

Design Team Projects

Yesterday I did the design team projects for Devine Memories . The first one I did was a page on Jaden using Dream Street Paper, Daisy D Chipboard Stamps and flowers. There's also a rubon in the top corner that says Such a Handsome Little Guy. I thought it was fitting to write him a letter about my little guy turning 3. The chipboard stamp is painted red and then has a flower cut from the paper with a rhinestone center.

The other project I did was a house mini album that I made into a dessert recipe book. I had to use pictures I already had taken of past desserts so I couldnt put my favorites in, but I think it turned out pretty neat!

Right now I am sewing some cloth napkins and grocery bags, I will post those tomorrow :)

Happy Birthday Meliss!

Happy Birthday to my sista in law, Melissa! Her birthday was yesterday and tonight the family all got together at their house to celebrate!

.....Too bad the sick ones were trapped in their home, missing out on the fun. :(

Micah did make me relax today and he made dinner and cleaned up, so I did the design team pages that are due next week. Unfortunately, my medicine that kept the creative juices flowing has now wore off and I need to take more, but thankfully, Jackson didnt throw up his jello at dinner! Lets cross our fingers that it stays that way....green jello+ sick mommy+ sick baby= scared mommy & scared carpets!

Anyway, here are the pages.

The first one was a page I did just using the products given to me. I dont know how these need any extra push in selling, its beautiful paper and the sticker letters are fun, and I LOVE blank chipboard (the centers of the circles that i made into peace signs)! (I added the blingage, ribbons, c/s, chipboard flowers and paint, along with the scalloped edges made by a random punch...fun fun fun!!)

The second was products used by three of the design team members all doing our own page. I can not wait to see what the other two fabulous ladies did! (and I want to know who did them too!! :)) The bird was a plain white bird so she HAD to get some glitter and blingage! I handstitched the swirly flourishes by eyeballing and added some polka dots randomly here and there to tie in the polka dot paper. The products given to us were the paper, the bird, the pinkish orange ribbon, and the scalloped paper accents (or journalling circles)

I am very pleased with them this month!

Signing off to take some medicine and go to bed.

I want to scrapbook!

Things have been SO busy around here lately, I don't know whether we are coming or going!

I just want to scrapbook so bad and just don't have the opportunity too...but I am hoping to soon!

I did, however, do the kits for Devine Memories for April last night. I designed a page and then people can purchase kits to do that page! So, if you are interested, go for it next week! I made sure its something that anyone would be able to do, and everything is included and cut, all you need is adhesive. All directions are included as well :)

Second Design Team Project and a page from the other day

I had the priviledge of joining a friend (also a fellow design team member) at a new local scrapbook store in Chandler for a mid day crop. I didn't get too much done, but I did get one page finished!

I also did my second project for the design team for this month. I have used this paper before, but I like this second page better than the first :)

Bloom and Grow-Acrylic Album (Design Team Project)

Lots of bling, flowers and glitter, who says you cant use this stuff for a boy's book? The theme is spring, anything goes! Used with Heidi Grace papers, chipboards, stickers, rubons, and even clear stamps, this line is fun!! Also some misc. stuff used as well :) Over every picture, there is a transparency layer too. Gotta love anything clear!
