This page was a bit of a challenge because of how the paper was made. I accented it with colored glitter to make the moon and rocket pop out a bit.

Off topic....

I was at a scrapbook store that is closing down *ahem, recollections* and I can not believe STILL what happened today. So we went, it was about 4 pm. Granted, Jaden didn't have his nap yet, but Jackson did. We were trying to leave but was waiting for my mom to check out, so my sister and I were loading up the boys back into the stroller. Jaden started crying and Jackson started crying....both for different reasons. I was already hot (they have all the merchandise left packed into like 6 mini aisles) and now stressed because they are causing a scene. I calmed them both down and walked outside so they could cool off (it was million degrees in there, which wasn't helped any). Then my mom comes out, obviously very irritated, and tells me how one of the workers inside was talking behind my back, telling everyone how I need to get those kids home to bed. My mom checked her, but still. That lady didn't know the situation. How unfair for people to automatically assume they know what is going on with your children.They are children, give them and the mother a break. Thanks for making me feel like a horrible mom. If they weren't closing down, I would have gone back in and returned what I bought because I wouldn't want to support a business like that.....but alas, all sales were final.That'll teach me to not stick with DM.

2008 Goals in Scrapbooking

I just wanted to jot down some of my goals for scrapbooking this year :)

Each month I want to scrapbook a page about what I loved from that month......at the end of the year, it will have my own personal year together like a mini journal. I figure thats the best way to do an album about me!

Each week, I want to do at least two pages. One of Jaden and one of Jackson and then whatever else I feel like working on.

I also want to make sure I do other projects as well. Keeps me on my toes a bit :) Pin It

Scraplift!

I have been wanting to scraplift this page from a magazine I got when Jaden was a baby. Its not the most exciting page, but I did like the concept :) And each letter is cut out for the journaling, yikes! It doesn't show as well here as it does in person, but I love how crisp it all came out. I was worried that blue would be too light for the lettering but it worked. Poor kid's face was so scratched up though!

you know how if you haven't scrapbooked in awhile, it sometimes takes a bit toget back into the groove? thats how I have felt this week. but here are the ones i have done since saturday (went to a crop!) catching up on jackson's last few months.. 7, 8 and 9! family page, and also a christmas page. dont mind the fuzzy pictures. someone was touching my lens on the camera and i didnt know it was smudgy until i uploaded :) thanks amanda for helping me get my nerdy blog booty into gear :)

well, its been quite awhile since i have posted much here! christmas has now come and gone and it is time to look at the year ahead! i have goals set for myself with scrapping and such and have one more day before i already break one! with the past few months of a lot of sewing, a lot of christmas gift prep and no scrapbooking, its time to get back into the swing of things!

I am in love....

....with this project! I have been wanting to take this class at Devine Memories FOR-EVER and I was able to today! And it was the very last time she offered it after a few years of doing it! So I lucked out. We got to pick out everything for it and put it all together. Its a BIG finished project....but I have the perfect spot for it!

...and I took a class last Tuesday where I learned all sorts of new stuff on this small canvas collage!

Jaden was having a hard time sleeping during the night because he didnt have the right type of light in his room and he would wake up and get scared. Micah would keep the utility room light on so it would help him but instead it would keep me up all night. So I made the boys night lights.
