The chupacabra came for tea

I have to say this winter has been very mild for sickness compared to last year! Unfortunately our good streak ended last week, hence the lack of posts. Now I have all three kids sick and a double ear infection myself. Nothing worse than seeing your kids in pain and not being able to take it away from them.

Last night we were ALL up every hour all night and I have my oldest one crying in my lap right now from ear pain. We all missed church this morning as well.

Our dog Blitzen has actually been proving himself to be a good dog around here afterall, sleeping in our daughter's room at night, and now even stopping for a cup of tea!

Here's to a healther upcoming week!

A friendly (weightloss) competition

My husband and I are in a battle. We are battling to see who can reach their own weight loss goal in three months. There's money on the line, people!

I will admit, having three kids in 4 1/2 years and using excuses because of busy life, schedules, etc hasn't helped me one bit, but I will be 30 next year and really want to get into shape and feel good about myself before a new set of numbers begin!

I started yesterday and wasn't pleased at the options I saw on the menu at Red Robin (where he chose for Father's day), so I am scouting out new choices, recipes, etc.

I am also drinking tons more water and began exercising as well. The exercise part is lacking big time, and I am already finding myself using the 100+ temps outside as an excuse. I am starting small though, alternating yoga and bike riding.

So in my quest to find things to try to keep this fun and exciting, I stumbled upon this book yesterday and plan on ordering it. Anyone have this?

Hungry Girl: 200 Under 200: 200 Recipes Under 200 Calories

And let me know if you have any tips and tricks for me! I am pretty open to hear anything and would love to hear your own thoughts! I know its a process and I want to do it the right way, but I have GOT to beat him!

Real thoughts or real rambling :)

This is an honesty post. So if you are looking for fun crafty mommy stuff, its not today. :)

I love the internet. I love twitter and facebook and blogging and all that fun stuff. Its such a great outlet  to have, especially as a stay at home mom.

I don't love the negativity; the passive aggressiveness that people have because they think they can say whatever they want since its on the internet.

But it can go the opposite way too. How sometimes people can show the happy shiny stuff, and not necessarily the "real" stuff. Who wants to though, right?

Do you ever read cool blogs or see fun status updates and get sad? Get down on yourself because you "aren't as cool", "dont measure up", "wish you had that", etc?

I do. I'll be perfectly honest.  I mean, what's so special about me? What's my purpose? I'm so lame.

You know.

And by the world's standards, I am rich. By God's standards, I am rich. What more could I want? I agree. You know the saying, "Money can't buy happiness?" It is so true. I see it so much, And even those that call themselves Christians really struggle with this. Materialism isn't as much of a struggle for me as other things are though. Physically, mentally, socially....these are things I deal with.

I struggle a bit with postpartum anxiety. But my baby is a year old! Yeah, but its true. Not enough for medication, but I do deal with it. I pray about it a lot, and I fully believe that God helps me through it.

So mix that in with constantly "comparing", even if I don't realize I am doing it, or negativity, sometimes, I want to just chuck it all out the window. Move away where there's no internet. It won't solve anything.

I just fnished getting over the flu. A horrible nasty flu that made me so sick that I dont think I have been that sick as an adult. I would have rather had all three c sections back to back than that flu!My ears are still recovering and I am even dealing with hearing loss right now!Yuck, yuck yuck! It was a recipe for disaster. Feeling sorry for myself, dealing with the normal mommyness, and seeing what I see online: It got me down.

My husband, bless his sweet heart, never quite knows what to say when I get into a funk. He sure does try, and I love him for that. But tonight he came across an article that helped me a lot! I will share it here. It focuses on Christians and comparing with churches: http://www.russellmoore.com/2011/01/27/why-facebook-and-your-church-might-be-making-you-sad/

I encourage you to read it. Surely, I am not the only one with these thoughts ;) And if I am, well, it helped me anyway!

And ok, here's a crafty picture of a hat I made my daughter.

God bless,

Let's get personal here.

Hi everyone!  (if anyone is out there anyway :))

For a few days now, I have been struggling with keeping my blog or deleting it. We have a family blog that I post pictures on and keep things up to date pretty regularly, but I miss this one. My little tiny blog.

Sometimes, my time is questioned as to how I spend it. Isn't that silly? Anyone that knows me knows that for the most part I am pretty busy. I don't really need to explain that. I guess because I "stay at home" with my kids makes me susceptible to scrutiny. I sure do see that happen a lot in real life. I think the worst part about it all is that I actually took it personally. I let someone judge me and let it affect how I am living.

Truth be told, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of how I am living. I have nothing to be ashamed of. First and foremost, God does need to come first in my life. Then my husband. Then my children, Everything else will be taken care of. Each day, I strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman. We make sacrifices so that I can stay home and raise our children. Each day I strive to learn more about God's love, so that I can let HIS light shine in me; not someone else's idea of what that light should look like. Daily with my family alone, I pray, teach my children how to pray and love God, keep up on my household responsibilities, drive with small three children back and forth to my oldest's school, make meals, and support my husband as he works fiull time and seeks his role in our faith, ministering to those who don't know Jesus...and those who do too. And thats just the normal stuff that happens within our family.  Can things change for the better? Of course. Everyone has things that they need to change.

No longer am I worried about what people think of me, or what I should be doing. As long as I am living how Christ instructs us, and as long as I am doing everything I can to reach out to those who need to see Christ as well, everything will fall in place.  Really, I didn't have to sit down and explain what I do during very short nap times (while listening to sermons on podcasts or praise music), or when my husband is home watching football. My blog never is first priority (anyone that does read on a regular basis knows that!) I don't have to explain anything at all. God knows my heart, and He judges me. (Which is a scary thought on its own and not to be taken lightly!)

So I will continue to sew, to capture my family's memories, to cook and maintain a happy and clean home. I am not super woman. I don't ever claim to be. But if I want to blog about how I do those things, then I will.

Til next time! :)

Whats your height say about you?

Mine says: (i'm nursing a sleepy baby and got restless.)

Your Height Says You're Optimistic

You are cheerful, expressive, and creative.
You have the heart of an artist, and the whole world is your art project.

You are the type of person who says "yes" a lot. You are optimistic and giving.
You also love a challenge. You enjoy accomplishing the impossible.

You are about as tall as the average Japanese man or the average Dutch woman.

Well, I guess I have been pretty MIA.

Hi everyone!

First I have to kind of apologize for the lack of blog posting. There are many reasons for this. Although I have kept busy crafting, remaining active with church, hanging out with my family and so on, there have been a lot of things going on in my life that have made me take a step back and decide what I need to have on my priorities list.

I have always enjoyed keeping up with this blog, because I love having everything together for resources, meeting fun new people, keeping in touch with friends, sharing ideas and how to's, and it's just fun! But the fun can wear off pretty fast when negative things happen.  And that's more real life than anything. What a difficult year this has been! But I just thank God for blessing our family in more ways than I can even think of, and the best part is knowing we are never alone through the good and bad times!
John 14:15-18 (New King James Version)
If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Not to get into the details, but I will continue to blog and keep up with things, but I don't know if what I will share will be as frequent or in depth...at least for a little while. :) And you can always find me on facebook!

I know that I need to clean up and organize a bit on here, as it hasn't been updated in awhile, so while I do that, I will leave you with a recent picture from the pumpkin patch.

See you soon!

Life happens.

Sunday I mentioned that my husband had broke his toe. Now it looks like he has suddenly been hit with the flu. Feverish, sore throat, the works. To add insult to injury, he just saw a flat on his car, which means we will have 1 vehicle until Monday.

We got rid of our big desk in our bedroom and he built a smaller one (....all wood and parts for 20 dollars too!) Ideally, I would love to not have a desk at all in our bedroom, but I just like having the boys separated  in their own rooms for now. One day, we will move them into the same room, but not just yet as long as we can help it. Anyway, of course, our room is completely destroyed and although the desk is built, its not sanded how he wants it, and I still need to paint it. We have dresser drawers stacked, the contents of the desk all over the bedroom, and craziness all around.

It would be easy to get stressed out right now with the sickness, house chaos, plus the craziness of an almost two year old and a bossy big brother. But none of this is major.  I know that none of these issues are real problems.  It could be so much worse. I am not going to let the normal behavior of children, a disarrayed house and other stress get to me. I am going to do my best to take care of my sick husband, smile and play with my sweet children and focus on what God has blessed us with. Just thought I would share what I am thinking right now :)

I'll leave you with Harold's recent artwork...my most favorite glitter and some markers... contrary to what it looks like, he didnt get too much of it...whew! He was quite proud of it though, and he sure did sparkle the rest of the day!

Spring Cleaning

Well, thank goodness February is over! February wasn't a bad month or anything, but it was "heavy" feeling. Really heavy. Really hectic. I feel like with this new month means a fresh outlook. A light and happy month.

My baby turns 2 in 2 and a half weeks. It's so wild to me how fast the last two years...no four years have flown by. My kids speed up time. My husband and I always joke that time goes too fast whenever we are together....so the kids are making it go double time! Wait until we add more to the mix! (Not now.) I spent the evening working on an art piece for our kitchen and enjoyed watching the videos from our children's births, first steps and laughter, and all the other beautiful (and not so beautiful) moments we have captured.

With Spring comes cleaning and organizing, fresh flowers, orange blossoms, green grass, new garden, the windows open, flip flops and other fun light things.

Although I accomplished a lot on my goals of February list, this month I am not going to do a list. I am also not going to stress about posting every single day...I still might....I might post a couple of times one day, and other days might get skipped. Don't get me wrong, I will still be me :) Crafting, sewing, baking, photography...just creating. I have a lot on my mind, a lot on my heart, and I need to spring clean. March brings new life and I am going to focus on the life that my God has given me.

I am focusing on my relationship with Christ, my marriage and my children, my physical health, relationships in my life that are good and not so good and... me. (and I do hope to update the etsy shop more because I have so many fun new sewing projects in mind for it! ;o)). I am seeking answers that I constantly pray about but maybe expect to be solved with a wiggle of a nose, rather than me following through on my end.  So maybe it won't be as light and happy as I hope...but it might! All I know is, I want to Spring Clean.

What size do you scrap?

When I first started scrapbooking, I was an 8 1/2 x 11 scrapper. I always said I was never going to do 12x12. I would turn up my nose to 12x12 and scoff at the ridiculousness of that size.

Well.....then I had my first baby and couldn't figure out how anyone would possibly ever want to scrapbook at 8 1/2 x11. "Ugh. thats so small...and old school."

Turns out, I like to vary it up a bit....4x4, 6x6, 8x8 and 12x12. But still no 8 1/2x11..until now. I am thinking about going back to my "roots" if you will. Its a bit cheaper as you have the scraps from the 12x12 paper and a bigger space saver (which I need.)

I don't know. What do you do for scrapbooking size?

Whew! I am TIRED!

Warning! This is probably a very boring post to everyone. Its more for my own peace of mind and ramblings.

Today was supposed to be a productive day. Actually, so was yesterday. We have four trees that need to be planted, a vine that is waiting to be planted, a fence in the backyard that needs to be finished (half started), another that needs to be built, other odds and ends with the sprinkler system, the grass needs work, etc. And thats just outside.

Did anything get done? No. After church, we spent the day doing errands that needed to get done, and then had dinner at my parents' house. When I got home, of course I started into something completely not needing to be done right now.

I just wanted to see how i am doing for my February goals, as we are halfway through the month. Lets see here....here's what i have finished

  • start a new Bible study. - not necessarily a new Bible study...but a lot of questions are being answered.
  • update my etsy...sick of seeing christmas stuff on there, time to put fun new things in! -i have started with the wipe cases. got more fabric today to make more crayon rolls.
  • make Jack's pillow-waiting for the stuffing to go half off at JoAnn - done and i found a bag of stuffing so it was free!
  • build and stain Jack's dresser -skipping this. bought plastic (gasp. i know i am horrible.) drawers for closet instead today. i think i am much happier this way. who knows how long he will be in his crib and in his current furniture state anyway. and the drawers were clearanced at lowe's.
  • put the boxes in the attic from christmas so that I can have the patio back (not my job. i did my part before 2009!) - you better believe thats done. woo hoo!...now its got tools and such on it for fence in progress.
  • start 2009 garden - done for now!
Ok...about half way done! And of course, I keep adding to the list. I have a feeling that its going to run into March...and I am ok with that...March's list is already crazy! Pin It

Chaotic Thursday

So far this morning it has been nonstop action. And not the good kind.

  • The baby woke me up playing with the light switch. over and over and over. ok thats not too bad.
  • woke up with another headache. thats not that great.
  • He immediately slips away and wakes up his big brother.
  • meanwhile, phone is ringing. I go to the phone and no one is there.
  • I go into big brother's room to find puzzles everywhere. I ask them to clean it up. I can handle this.
  • I leave to go into the mess of a utility room to find something and I hear screaming.
  • yellow paint everywhere. no pictures this time. i am mad.
  • while i am cleaning that, with baths carpet and other messes, my brand new sink for the first time ever use wont drain.
  • and i find my little harold has colored all over his big brother's walls, mirror and furniture. thank you mr clean eraser.
  • big brother spills UTEE everywhere.
  • throw them both in the bath.
  • still cleaning the huge messes while i am trying to empty sink with a bowl from one room to the next, texting my sweet husband about the sink
  • start first load of laundry of about 10 loads today
  • boys drain bath tub and screaming they are cold.
  • "baby" pees all over big brother's rocket ship rug. more screaming.
  • clean up that.
  • get them dressed.
  • finished ordering a christmas present online through it
  • need to clean up utility room, and hallway from the chaos of the sink still.

Ok, now I think I can get them breakfast. Its not like its 11 am.

Just breathe. I wouldn't trade this job for the world. Pin It

New Craft Space

A long long time ago, my husband and I each had our own room to do what we wanted with. I had a craft room and he had a music room. Then we had a sweet baby boy, and combined both of our rooms together. Then we had another sweet baby boy, and we both lost our room and moved our separate ways. He went to the garage and I took up the utility room.

Everything was ok. I worked out in the living room on the floor or in our bedroom on the floor. Sometimes the kitchen, but I like to keep the kitchen clean, so I am usually not in there too often..haha, even if that means cooking. Just jokin' :)

So a couple of weeks ago, I needed to get a scrapbook down from a shelf in the utility room, and when I took it off the shelf, the whole unit came down on top of me. I felt like a cartoon where you can see it coming but you are frozen in place!

We took everything ok and stored it all over our bedroom. For two weeks now, our bedroom was a catch all of mail, clothes, and randomness....and oh yeah, we would sleep there at night.

My brilliant amazing awesome husband had a brilliant idea to transform that crazy little utility room into a usable work room. We also had the house set up for a sink in there when we were building it, so he wanted to install that too.

At first I wasn't too keen on the idea. I mean, a sink?! Thats valuable space I need in there! And work in there?! In a tiny room?

But then it started coming together and I couldnt be more happy with it! We spent way too much time at Home Depot over the last week, but we got it all set up yesterday!

I have a sink now! I can wash clothes and paint brushes in it! And when I am not using the sink, I have a workspace/desk!

Here's what it looks like now:

My new peg board! It was only 51 cents at Home Depot! I found it in the scrap pile. It was originally white with a green streak across. Nothing a little pink spray paint couldn't fix. Look at all the room I have left on it!

Here is the washer dryer set up. One side of the cabinets is laundry stuff, and the other side is craft. I bought photo boxes and spray painted them pink. Micah used the old shelves and moved them over the washer and dryer.

Craft side open: (That big crate is stampin up paper. its a beast. the bags on top is scrap fabric until i buy a couple more crates. There is a third one up there too you can't see from here)

punches, glitters, paints, watercolor pencils and crayons, etc.

Then I sewed simple little curtains. I am still going to add tie backs and applique on the curtains. Its Heidi Grace fabric, so I might add some birds on. I sewing the pink rick rack on the top and then used tension rods so that they can easily be removed.

New Sink! And great storage underneath still. Nothing is crammed and all is easily accessible.

The top part... I seriously can not believe how much room I still have. I would like to keep it this way though.

Then my work space. I have room to add hooks all the way up, but I might keep it bare for now. The pink compartment bin was spray painted after we got it from my father in law. And he was also so generous in giving us that smoke Plexiglas for the top of my "desk"! I added matching fabric to the button jars, and the lights came from my sister in law Shannon, when we traded the lights for crosses at our yard sale. I have been wanting to add them to the lights on our pot shelf, but I think this is a lot more practical!

So thats that! I am pretty excited about my small little corner in the house. Its just what I needed and I am so grateful that Micah did it for me. It took the shelves falling down and having to gut the room to realize that it was totally possible. *and you should have seen how much I got rid of!*

Speaking of my sweet husband, he woke up today with a kidney stone. After we took him to urgent care, we also found out he has bronchitis too. Its kind of a blessing (and he would even say this) that he got the kidney stone, otherwise he would have not gone to the dr about his chest congestion until it would have been even worse. He has had this cough for about three weeks now. He's finally getting some rest after not sleeping well for a few week. I don't know what he would do without pain killers right now. It's awful! Monday Morning Thoughts

This weekend was a difficult one. Sometimes it seems like there is this unknown timeline of when a person should be done grieving. But then it seems like the more we get back into the "regular" routine, the more we grieve.

Yesterday, our very dearest friends lost someone very close to them. She was young, it was extremely unexpected, and now her husband and three children and family and friends are left trying to wrap their heads around everything. Although we didn't know her personally, we see that same face of grief on our friends' faces that we have seen personally for two weeks now.

Did you know grief has a face? A very distinct look. Its hard not to recognize it once you have seen it.

Life can be so ...hard. This is the third loss in the last six weeks of someone close to us. There are so many hurting around me. Unexplained pains and illnesses that doctors can not diagnose. I can count 6 off the top of my head that I know of. 6. in the past three months. 6 illnesses that can not be figured out. Shouldn't doctors have the answers? It doesn't seem possible that this can happen so frequently.

Through the pain, the hurting, the grieving, there is a great Healer. If it wasn't for my faith in God; His comfort, His hope... it would be so impossible to go through these trials. Yet, I know that God can heal the brokenhearted. That we can feel His arms around us. And it gives me peace. Psalm 147:3-5 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite."

I know that my blog hasn't been full of crafty fun lately. And for that, I apologize. I have several things going on here that I will be posting soon (and still hoping to launch the Etsy store before Friday). Don't bail on me now! And I have a lot of ideas spinning around in my head. I will talk about Thanksgiving menus, Christmas gifts, my new craft "room" set up, great inspirational emails from friends that thought of me when they read them, and scrapbooking projects, but today, I just want to think about how short our lives really are. How you spend your time is what matters most. What your focus really is.

Thank you friends for being here for me. For your comments you leave me, for the emails you send. For the texts and phone calls, and just for letting me know that you care. You mean so much to me and I appreciate everything. I hope that you know that I am here for each and every one of you if you ever need anything. A shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, prayers lifted up, and an ear to listen. Even if we don't know each other face to face. I am here!

...so, thanks. :)

You know how hard it is....

to not share here what I am making for Christmas gifts? Really hard!

I haven't done anything in a couple of weeks, but I have been doing a little here and there before and now its about time to get into the full swing. We would like to do all handmade for Christmas this year, but it will be "mostly" handmade instead.

I think this is a lot of people's theme this year, as the economy is struggling, and handmade just means more. I have also noticed that sometimes, it can be more expensive to make than to buy, so its not always the cheaper option, but it always means the most.

I will also be opening my etsy shop VERY soon (think in the upcoming week). This has been a long time coming. I started the shop back in February but have been too nervous about posting anything. I think its about time to go for it! Whats the worst that can happen, nothing sells? ok!

With the Holidays coming up, also consider having a family portrait or child(ren)'s portrait done. I do locations with natural light *that can include your home* and you receive the proofs on cd in addition to pictures digitally designed.

Catch ya on the flip side! I am off to take preschool portraits! ...only the cutest thing ever! Pin It

Monday's Madness

Thoughts on this Monday morning.

I was disappointed to learn this morning after making it to the next round of SYTYCS, the contest was canceled. Its a bummer because those that played fair have to be punished because some people weren't playing fair.

I canned apple sauce, apple pie filling and apple butter this weekend. I got a lot from the batch! I have 5 apples left that the boys and I are going to caramel. My house smelled so fallish this weekend with all the spices simmering! I made apple pancakes this morning with the apple pie filling on top. It was really good!

Jackson is my little terror right now. This morning he has wreaked havoc all over the house including breaking Micah's glasses, slamming doors, fighting with his brother, and generally just getting into trouble. I love this age (huge amounts of sarcasm here.) I love him...just not the attitude :) And people that know him know that this isnt normal for him.

Jaden is losing his voice and squeaking when he talks. Its pretty cute. ....and pathetic.

I have a couple of boutiques coming up that I am participating in that I need to stock up for. I am hoping they both go pretty well. (Of course I am hoping for that, why would I participate if I didnt? What a silly thing to say.)

Last week the yard work didnt get done, the kitchen chairs werent finished and my closet is still a mess. I am a complete "To Do List Maker" failure. (I don't really think that.)

And here's the question of the day. Tell me if this is just me or not. When the kids fight, it makes me so mad. Why does it make me mad? Does this bother anyone else who has more than one child? Or is it just me here? I remember growing up how mad my parents would get if my siblings and I would fight, so I don't *think* I am alone on this. I used to look at them like "Why do you care if we fight?" Well. Now I know. They are best friends for the most part but they have their moments.

Ok, Micah is home from basketball. Time to "break" the news about his glasses. Pin It

Pumpkins and Apples.

I want some apples. I mean come on. Its October. I WANT APPLES!

I got so excited when I got an email about a 38 pound box of apples through Bountiful Baskets. I was going to can them, candy them, bake them, and make applesauce! I had these grand visions in my head about all these apples I was going to get on Saturday. When I went to check out, I was so dissapointed to see that it was only in the West Valley. Can I stomp my feet here? I WANT APPLES! I am crossing my fingers that they will offer it in the East Valley next week.

Anyway. I will put my big girl pants back on now.

Tomorrow we are going to the pumpkin patch in the morning. Usually we go a lot earlier in October so I have been pretty anxious about getting there. I am hoping for cool weather...ya know, to simulate a Fall day :) I will take plenty of pictures to share. Pumpkin pictures are my favorite! Pin It

Crazy Man with a Tennis Ball and a Little Girl.

This evening as I was driving through my neighborhood, a man threw a tennis ball at my car.

Yes. A Tennis Ball.

At first I was like, "Is this guy crazy?!" So I stopped the car to see what was going on. I saw him throw it deliberately at me. I knew that something weird was going on.

So as I sat there completely confused and trying to figure out what the deal was, the man starts cursing me out and told me to slow down.

I was not speeding nor did I deserve to be cussed out and threatened with tennis balls thrown at my car. And if I was speeding, how did I stop the car that fast in that spot? And I was about to turn a corner too. Come on now. There were no skid marks, no tires screeching. Nothing to indicate that I was speeding. I know I wasn't speeding. Nothing makes me more mad than cars flying through the neighborhood.

So I did what any stupid person would do in my situation. I rolled down my window and I asked him to stop throwing balls at my car. I also told him to not cuss at me and that I wasn't speeding. (because you know, rational thinking would work here on this crazy lunatic.) I was calm. I wasn't screaming at him or anything. After all, he was doing enough for the both of us. He just kept yelling at me hatefully and obscenely. To avoid anything else from happening, I drove away.(Micah was on the phone at the time and told me to roll up my window and get out of there.)

I honestly think this guy could have hurt me and would have if I had stayed. As he was screaming horrible vulgarities no one (especially his 3 year old daughter ON HIS HIP AT THE TIME) should hear, he started walking to his truck like he was going to get something.

Way to set a fine example for your kid, dude.

I felt extremely threatened and unsafe.

When I arrived at my parents house (who live in the same neighborhood) I found out that this is not the first time he has done this, and it was also at a car not speeding. It was at my mom's friend's car. And my sister also knew exactly what guy I was talking about.

If he had done damage to me or my car, it could have been a lot worse. He is a loose canon that can blow at anytime, and I not only feel unsafe but this also affects my two children who were down the street 4 houses down playing outside at the time.

So... I emailed the police tonight after being out and away from the situation for a few hours. I just couldn't shake it. He had me so upset. Crying and shaking and being terrified for something I didn't do. And even if I was speeding, that is NOT the way to handle it. What a bully! Even if they dont respond, if something happens in the future to someone, they have my complaint on record. I hope it can stop someone else from being abused like this.

I am so glad he is raising children so that they can see how a "real man" acts. Riiight.

What are your favorite color combos these days?

Right nowI am really diggin' tealish blue and red. Love it. These colors are so vibrant and fun to me, yet still pretty chill.

Check out this fun flickr picture someone made!

And of course neutrals are always a favorite. Thats why fall is one of my favorite seasons (it shares with spring)

Colors are fun, Colors make the project. I love colors. Pin It

What a beautiful day!

A great day that preludes this weekend and the next week!
  • I woke up this morning and found out I won a prize just for following YMBD's blog! Very randomly unexpected and exciting!
  • And I woke up to find a tracking number to my camera that will be here TOMORROW
  • I got to sleep in until 9 o clock! It is 9:30 and the boys are still asleep!
  • I made lemon bars from scratch on Monday and I am going to enjoy one this morning for breakfast. So bad but soooo good. I will post a recipe later. Fresh squeezed lemons and lots of sugar.
  • Today is house cleaning day but I think I will make sure that I get crafty just because I am in a FABULOUS mood!

Now if this sore throat that I have had for a week will go away.

Life is great! Pin It

Camera Update w/ Question

"Unit will be delivered to you within 4 business days"

...according to Canon. So question for all of you. Would you take that as it being shipped out within 4 business days or it being in my hot little hands in 4 business days?

I know, its a pressing matter. Humor me here.
