Happy Birthday Jackson!

My sweet baby is one today! Its so emotional. This blessing I have been given is growing up so fast! Its exciting! Its scary! Its sad not to have a tiny little baby....but he is still very much baby.

We had a party for him on Sunday...

First, the Bug party favors....sweet treats like bumble bees, butterflies and ladybugs!

And the babies got favors too!

Second Design Team Project and a page from the other day

I had the priviledge of joining a friend (also a fellow design team member) at a new local scrapbook store in Chandler for a mid day crop. I didn't get too much done, but I did get one page finished!

I also did my second project for the design team for this month. I have used this paper before, but I like this second page better than the first :)

JJ's Time Capsule

With Jackson's birthday fast approaching, it is time to begin prepping for it!



And let me just say, I totally came up with this idea and I love it! Not the time capsule part, but adding the pictures from his whole first year. I think I might redo Jaden's now....his was decorated but I like the concept of this one better.

My new Mei Tai

this is an awesome baby carrier that I made for Jackson...it can go up to 30 pounds! It is hard to see in these pictures against my grey shirt, but the main body piece is a soft material that is seafoam green.


We started it out with Jaden...it would work but I didnt have him in it right. he loved it though. Ignore his nap hair :)


Then I put Jackson in it. it is so comfortable! We are going to really enjoy it!

Stupid Sock Creatures (and an update on Mr and Mrs C!)

I made one for Jaden and one for Jackson. Jaden names his 'boy' and adores him! Jackson loves his as well! We need a name for him though :) Jaden has the brown one and Jackson has the blue one.

Jaden helped me make his last night, and I did Jackson's today.

I tried to get a good picture of him with his, but he was so happy with it, they are all blurry!

Baby leg warmers and 11 months old!

My 11 month old Baby Boy!
I found how to make my own "baby legs" online from here.  SUPER fast and oh so easy! I spent 75 cents on these, compared to 12-13 dollars before shipping, and now that I know how to do them, I can make super funky ones! And since my little baby leg model is not taking a nap right now like he should be, he was happy to steal his brother's juice and model them for the camera!

Homemade Pretend Food

I saw this idea online and totally am running with it! They say to use wool felt, but I think this works fine and its only 20 cents a sheet.
The boys LOVE playing with pretend food, but I didnt want to buy the plastic stuff and I thought it would be fun to have home made toys. So, I made it myself! I was going to surprise Jaden with it all in one big box but the process is kind of slow because I only work on it all at night when they are in bed, so I went ahead and gave it to him when I saw him making a cake out of his carsagain last night, haha. He was so excited, he was laughing hysterically when I would show him everything! And of course he had problems sharing his new food with Jackson.

We are also saving some of the recycled stuff when we eat, strawberry containers (which I will fill with the felt strawberries), chocolate milk containers (I am going to shake a bit of chocolate milk colored paint inside to coat it, ranch bottle (only his favorite thing ever!). etc.

So far I have made two eggs, a complete cheeseburger, a carrot, grapes, banana, a piece of pizza and chicken drumstick..i think thats it so far.

I have a whole list of stuff to make still, i will update as i do them :)

It sure has been awhile since I last posted anything. I have a few projects I am working on right now, and all of my scrapbook stuff is out begging to be used, its just been kind of busy around here. I will post some new pages this week, most likely, as well as maybe a couple of other things :) Pin It
