Looks like I am battling the beginning of what my husband has had all week. Might not hear from me much this weekend. I really wanted to avoid this and thought I had!
But for now...
The other night, I was up way too late for everyone's own good and itching to make something. I had been planning on making a laptop sleeve for my laptop because its too long to fit into the two bags we already have and I need something to keep little hands away from it as well as to be able to take it out. Eventually I still would like to make a bag, and I might monogram this and add sparkly buttons and buttonholes to it, but for now, I like it how it is.
I found a few patterns here and they looked great but 1. I dont like following directions and 2. I wanted to do one my own way and 3. I do not measure anything so I came up with my own. I call it the laptop envelope. I added a flap to it to tuck in around the laptop's top when it is in the bag. Its a nice cushiony little envelope of cuteness. The laptop is snug as a bug in there and it looks clean too (laptop is in its new little home in all of the pictures)
I will not mention how I broke two needles toward the end from how thick it got from the padding and sewing the sides shut....and I sew fast. I can't help it, just call me a speed racer.
